“Yikes! Really???? Not a joke is it? I'm jazzed! Thanks so much!” wrote Alison Lewis when she responded to my e-mail notifying her that she was the winner of a free weekend at Shell Point on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Six weeks earlier I had offered the sea side weekend as part of an internet promotion for my novel, The Plot. A native of south Florida, Alison is a librarian in Philadelphia, PA. Alison teaches Library science, and is writing a science fiction novel. She and her husband John escaped the frozen north and spent three mild and sunny days with us in late February during which they discovered the joys of golf carting, watching spectacular sunsets on the beach, slurping oysters on the half shell, and even sharing a game bird cookout with our neighbors! Little did I suspect when I ran the contest that I, too, would be a winner. Alison and I developed a wonderful friendship in the course of those three fun-filled days together. When she and John left, it was the warmest, prettiest day of all, and I found it hard to say goodbye. Perhaps one day I'll run another promotion on the chance that I can meet another Alison Lewis. Thank you for the memories. |

The nation’s capitol is under attack… An international conspiracy, the looming Presidential election, and the mysterious death of a prominent journalist lead reporter Cassandra Hart into a maelstrom of deception, intrigue, and murder. By one of its own… Determined to overthrow the United States government, a shadowy group of elites hold the fate of democracy in their grip, threatening to reshape history and usher in their “New World Order.”
“Open to the first page and immediately the deft hand of the author reaches out, grabs you by the throat-and the heart-and pulls you in…a wild ride of grand scale, detailing nothing less than the overthrow of the United States government.” —Jim Cohn, Readers Room “The Plot is an excellently readable thriller. I greatly enjoyed it.” — Robert Olen Butler, Pulitzer Prize winning author of A Good Scent from a Strange Mountain
