What people are saying about
THE PLOT

The Plot is an excellently readable
thriller. I greatly enjoyed it.
Robert Olen Butler, Pulitzer Prize winning
author of A Good Scent from A Strange Mountain

"...disturbingly relevant...seems
almost documentary, not fiction. Good work!"
Robert "Bob" Woodward

The Plot is about the ultimate conspiracy...
Lamarche has created a frightening conspiracy and woven it together
with the real things we see happening in our government today,
all to create a tense, page turning read. The pacing is excellent...and
the characters are wonderful.

Well plotted, fast paced, and chilling
is how I would describe this book. The Plot is Lamarche's first
novel, although the author has been a journalist and had close
ties to law enforcement and politics for years. Her knowledge
shines through in making this book both believable and chilling.
It speaks well of her writing ability that she can make something
a reader doesn't even want to consider--the ease with which our
lives and personal freedoms could be threatened--both plausible
and frightening. Set in both Florida and Washington, D.C., The
Plot is well worth the time to read, and this reviewer looks
forward to more work from this author.

Kathleen Lamarche has done a spectacular
job of writing the ideal political thriller. Full of suspense,
betrayal, and action, The Plot is a book that readers will have
a hard time putting down. Lamarche has done an excellent job
of weaving a masterful plot, which is essential to any great
mystery novel. Her characters come complete with personality
flaws and emotional hang-ups, lending the story great depth and
dimension. She covers all aspects of the plot extensively, leaving
no loose ends or unanswered questions. The brilliant conclusion
continues this trend, leaving the reader immensely satisfied.
Without a doubt, Kathleen Lamarche writes a political thriller
as well as any well-known author.

The characters are developed in depth with
their doubts and questions of trust and betrayal. The suspense
begins with the first chapter and builds up continually until
the final confrontation. The well-crafted plot is believable.
It is timely, showing what can happen if power is held in the
hands of a few unscrupulous power hungry men. Do not begin this
book unless you are willing to sacrifice your well-earned sleep.
Once you begin to read this you won't be able to put it down.
